There are three faculty openings: one at the School of Education, one at the School of Social Work, and one at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.
Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy
The Ford School seeks a faculty member who focuses on the design, implementation or evaluation of public policies intended to ameliorate the negative effects of poverty on children, weaken the intergenerational transmission of poverty, and reduce poverty rates, including incentives to work and save, income supports, job training, and programs to encourage the formation of resilient families. This position is open-rank, but the Ford School prefers to hire a tenured associate or full professor.

School of Education
The School of Education seeks a faculty member who focuses on the design, implementation or evaluation of educational innovations from pre-school through college, including innovations in the professional preparation of educators that seek to increase the educational attainment of children in poverty. The position is open rank, but the School of Education prefers to hire an assistant professor.

School of Social Work
The School of Social Work seeks a faculty member who focuses on issues connected with children in poverty. A successful candidate will have an established research agenda and a record of publication, preferably in peer-reviewed journals, on issues and links between child well-being and poverty; the multiple dimensions of risk factors for children in poverty; and on programs and policies targeted to low income children in multiple spheres, such as social services, public benefits, and education systems.
